The Criminal Justice Technology program is designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the legal and criminal justice law enforcement fields in: government, law enforcement agencies, juvenile justice, public and private agencies, homeland security, and corrections.
The core courses will provide students who graduate from the program with the knowledge and skill of criminal justice theories, policies, and procedures and a background in information technology, intelligence gathering, computer evidence analysis, forensics, and network security.
An externship will provide practical, hands-on field experience in a legal environment. Information technology courses will provide additional skills to support the theoretical aspect of criminology and investigations and will enhance graduate advancement in the career field. The curriculum also provides knowledge of general education that will further complement skills within the major.
