The Associate of Science in Geographic Information Systems (ASGIS) degree program is designed to
- prepare students for transfer to a four-year degree program focusing on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or
- for entry-level positions as GIS technicians and users.
This is accomplished by combining a strong general education component with core requirements in cartography, GIS software, and GIS concepts and techniques.
ASGIS is 60 credit hours: 42 hours of general education courses and 18 hours of courses in the major.
